A Polish university professor filmed the moment a small bird met the world for the first time. The video shows how the chick slowly comes out of its egg.

The professor is part of a group of professors who study these birds. They want to understand their mating habits and the effects of hormones on the chicks.

The type of this bird that they study is called the “blue tit”. It is a small bird with blue and yellow feathers.

Difficult words: chick (a young bird), mating (pairing to have babies), habit (something which happens in a usual way).
