South Korea s president goes to prison

A court in South Korea gives former president Yoon Suk Yeol life in prison. The court says that he wants to change the political system in the country in 2024. He sends soldiers to stop the judges. He wants to take power over the country.

The court also gives prison time to other leaders, like a minister and the boss of the police.  Yoon says he does nothing wrong. He wants to go to court again.

Many people stand outside the court. Some feel angry, and some feel happy. The case brings political changes in the country.

Difficult words: former (the one from the past), prison (a place where you stay if you do something bad), judge (a person in a court who says what is right).
