Student is robbed – level 1

29-05-2014 15:00

This happens in London. A student is out at night. A man asks him for a cigarette. The two start to talk and walk. The man attacks the student.

The man puts his arms around the student’s throat. He presses hard. The student passes out. The criminal steals the student’s watch. It is an expensive watch. It costs £5,000.

The student is on the ground. He is confused. After a moment, he knows what happened.

Difficult words: throat (neck), pass out (to stop moving and thinking for a little while), expensive (valuable), confused (he doesn’t know what’s going on).

You can read the original story and watch the video in the Level 3 section.

Have you ever been mugged?
