Sweden sends young people away – level 1

02-04-2026 07:00

Sweden has a new law. Many young people must leave the country. They are 18 or 19 years old. They live in Sweden, they go to school, and they have friends there. But the government says they must go back to countries like Iran.

These young people are very afraid. They want to stay with their mothers and fathers in Sweden. The government says that these people do not need to stay with their parents in Sweden.

Many people in Sweden walk in the streets. They want to help the families. But the government says no. It is a very difficult time for these young students. They hope that they can stay in their homes.

Difficult words: law (official rules in a country), government (people who control a country), parents (your mother and father).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

What do many people in Sweden do to support the families facing deportation?
