Tickets to the Louvre cost more – level 1
16-01-2026 07:00
The Louvre Museum in Paris asks some visitors to pay more money.
People from outside Europe now pay 32 euros to enter. The museum says that it needs money to fix and care for the building. Other museums in France also plan higher prices.
Some visitors say that the new price is okay. Other visitors say that it is not fair. They believe that culture should stay open to all people and not only rich visitors.
The government says that the museum needs money. Children under 18 can enter for free. Many people still talk about what is fair.
Difficult words: enter (to go inside), fix (to repair something), rich (when you have a lot of money).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
Why do some visitors argue that the price increase is unfair?
