Tourism may hurt Red Sea beach – level 1

21-04-2025 07:00

Ras Hankorab is a beach in Egypt. It has blue water, white sand, and animals. The beach is in a special park.

The government wants to build small hotels and a restaurant there. The government wants more people to visit Egypt. Tourists are very important for the country. The government wants to get more money from tourists. It says it can help nature and also build new things.

Some people say this is not good. They cannot go to the beach now. They say the beach is for everyone. They want the beach to stay clean and natural.

Difficult words: government (the people who lead a country), tourist (a person who travels for fun and relaxation).

How might building small hotels and a restaurant change who can enjoy the park’s clean, blue waters, white sand, and animal inhabitants?
