Typhoon Tapah in Japan – level 3

02-10-2019 15:00

Typhoon Tapah hit southern Japan and Okinawa with rain and winds up to 100 miles per hour. It threw and damaged car windows, knocked down structures and signs, and flooded areas.

After the intense event and chaos, the storm is heading to the main island of Japan. Forecasters say that there will be more rain, flooding, and landslides.

Difficult words: typhoon (a large storm that starts over the ocean and goes to land), intense (strong, extreme), chaos (when a lot of things happen at one time).
