Wild Bears Come to Towns – level 1

25-11-2020 07:00

This year is not easy for wild bears in Japan. They are hungry. They must look for food in new places. They come closer to towns and villages.

Many people see wild bears this year. Bears come to people’s gardens. They eat fruit from the trees. They walk in the streets. They eat garbage.

People do not spend a lot of time outside. The reason is the coronavirus. Bears are not afraid to come closer to people’s homes. They walk in empty streets and gardens.

Farmers are not happy. Bears eat their harvest. Some companies think of ways to keep bears away from people.

One company makes a special wolf. It is a machine. It makes a loud noise. It moves its head like a real wolf. It scares bears away.

Difficult words: garbage (things that people throw away because they do not need them anymore), harvest (food that farmers get from their fields or gardens), scare away (to make someone scared and go away).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
