The mood among young people in Turkey is very sad and hopeless. A new study shows that nearly 64% of young Turks want to leave their country and move to Europe.

There are two main reasons for this. First, they feel they don’t have freedom of expression. The government is very strict, and the police often censor artists, musicians, and comedians. Second, the economy is in a bad situation. Inflation is very high, and more than 30% of young people cannot find a job. Some students are already moving to countries like France and Belgium for university.

But not everyone wants to go. Some young people love their country and prefer to stay and work hard in Istanbul, even if life is difficult. Turkey is now in danger of losing its young generation.

Difficult words: hopeless (feeling that a bad situation will never get better), freedom of expression (the legal right to speak, write, create art, or share your opinions openly), censor (to examine books, music, or news and take away parts which speak badly about the government).
