Zelensky and Trump meet at Pope Francis’ funeral – level 1

Presidents Zelensky and Trump meet for 15 minutes inside St Peter’s Basilica at the funeral of Pope Francis.
Zelensky says it is a good and important meeting. Trump’s team says it is a good talk, too. They talk just before the funeral starts. The meeting happens one day after Trump says Russia and Ukraine are close to a peace deal. Trump’s people meet Putin in Moscow. Zelensky says they talk about stopping the war and keeping people safe.
Even if the day is about the funeral, they still talk. People do not know if Ukraine will say yes to giving land. Many people hope the meeting will help to stop the war.
Difficult words: funeral (a ceremony when someone dies), peace deal (a deal between two countries to stop fighting).
