Disney says that the show Jimmy Kimmel Live is back on TV. The show stops for six days because Kimmel talks about Charlie Kirk’s death. This makes many people angry. Authorities say ABC can lose its license.
Disney stops the show to keep things calm. Some people like the stop. Many Republicans, like Donald Trump, are happy. They say that Kimmel is not funny and says bad things. Other people do not like the stop. They say it is not good for free speech. Everyone should talk in public, even if others do not agree.
Disney talks with Kimmel. Then the company says the show can start again.
Difficult words: license (an official paper which allows you to do something), free speech (when you can say what you think or believe and nobody can stop you), in public (when you do something where other people can see or hear you).
