Melania Trump’s film – level 3
03-02-2026 07:00
Melania Trump marks her first year back as first lady with a documentary she produced herself. The film, called Melania, follows the twenty days before Donald Trump returned to the White House for his second term.
The movie opened in more than one thousand five hundred theaters in the US and other countries; however, public response remains weak, and interest stays low. Reports show small audiences even in Slovenia, her home country. Many people criticize the timing of the film because protests take place in the US after deadly events involving federal agents. Some viewers feel angry that the president promotes a movie about his wife during a tense period for the country.
The film cost about seventy-five million dollars, which makes it one of the most expensive documentaries ever. Big companies help pay for it, and critics say they hope to gain favor with the president. Some countries, including South Africa, refuse to show the film due to poor relations with the US.
Difficult words: audience (people who watch a film or show), federal agent (a government worker who enforces national law), favor (support).
