Australia has a new law since December. This law says that children under 16 cannot use social media like YouTube or Instagram. The government wants to help kids feel better.

But the law is not working. Many children still use these apps every day. It is very easy to make a new account. Children can just write a false age, or their parents can help them. The big computer companies do not stop the children.

Now, the government is angry. They want these companies to pay a lot of money if they do not follow the rules. Other countries are looking at Australia to see what happens next.
