A couple sells fake Taylor Swift tickets – level 1

A couple sells fake Taylor Swift tickets

14-10-2026 07:00

A woman and her husband in Canada steal money from more than 100 people. They sell fake tickets for a big Taylor Swift concert in Toronto. They take 265,000 dollars.

Many parents buy the tickets for their children. People find out that the tickets are fake just before the concert. They are very sad. The couple says sorry. They use the money to gamble online. Lawyers want the couple to stay at home for punishment instead of going to prison. Many people with the fake tickets are angry. They want them in prison. In December, we will know what will happen with them.

Difficult words: husband (a married man), gamble (to risk money on a game or race), punishment (what happens to you when you break a rule).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

What did the couple use the $265,000 from selling fake Taylor Swift tickets for?
