People found rare Roman gloves in northern England, and these gloves are the only known example from the Roman Empire.

Roman soldiers practised boxing as an ancient sport to improve their skills and fitness. The leather gloves fitted over their knuckles for protection.

Now the gloves are on display at a museum in England.

Difficult words: ancient (very old), improve (make better), knuckles (the area where the finger joins the hand).
