Keir Mather is 25 years old. He becomes Britain’s youngest MP.

Mather grows up near Selby. Politics is his love since he is a small boy. He creates a group for young people who support the Labour Party. Mather studies history and politics at Oxford University. After that, he works as an adviser. Mather loves speaking in front of people. He likes a rugby team. He says that it is important to work together. Not only in sports.

Mather’s mother believes that he will do well in politics. Maybe one day, he can even become Prime Minister. Party leaders say that he is very good. He understands the problems of young people.

Difficult words: MP (a Member of Parliament), support (to be very interested in something and openly like it), adviser (a person who gives advice to another person or group of people).
