E-Cig Ban in India – level 1

24-09-2019 07:00

India  bans e-cigarettes. You cannot make, move or sell e-cigarettes there. If you break the ban, you can go to prison for up to one year.

The Indian government says why they do this. They say that people are getting addicted to e-cigarettes. They say that there are e-cigarette epidemics in some countries. They do not want this to happen in India. They say that e-cigarettes are dangerous. They are especially dangerous to young people and children.

Difficult words: ban (make something illegal), addicted (when you cannot stop doing something and it is bad for you), epidemic (when many people are in danger because of a drug, virus, or a thing).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
