EU leaders meet because of problems with the United States. President Trump talks about Greenland and special taxes for some European countries.

The EU says that it will protect itself. The EU says that only Denmark and Greenland can decide about Greenland.

Trump later stops his words about taxes. He says that a deal with NATO can help. EU leaders feel calm. They say that working together helps. They want to help Denmark and Greenland.

But the problem does not end yet. Trump says that Greenland is important to keep the US and the world safe. The EU says yes to more US soldiers but no to new borders. Denmark’s leader goes to Greenland to talk.

Difficult words: tax (money which people or companies pay to the government), protect (to keep safe), border (a line between countries).
