Finns love blueberries – level 2

06-10-2025 15:00

In Finland, blueberries are not only food but also an important part of life. People can go into forests and pick berries freely. Families go together each summer, and children learn the best places from their parents.

Blogger Varpu Rusila says blueberry picking is a way to enjoy nature. Blueberries are in many dishes. People use them in porridge, smoothies, ice cream, and blueberry pie. Finns usually choose wild blueberries because they are small, dark, and full of taste and vitamins.

In Helsinki, blueberries are everywhere. Shops, cafés, and markets sell products with blueberries. For Finns, blueberries give both health and happiness, and they show the strong connection between people and nature.

Difficult words: freely (without limit), porridge (soft food made by cooking oats in water or milk), connection (a link between two things).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
