Flying With Swans – level 1

30-08-2016 15:00

This news is about Bewick’s swans. These swans migrate every year. They fly from the Russian Arctic to Britain. This is 7,242 kilometres across 11 countries.

There are fewer swans now than in the past. People shoot the swans. Sometimes, the swans hit power lines. However, these threats are not so bad. There must be something else.

One woman wants to find out. She flies a paramotor with the swans.

Difficult words: fewer (opposite of more), threat (something dangerous), paramotor (a motorised parachute).

You can read the original story and watch the video in the Level 3 section.
