Friends reunion – level 3

01-06-2021 07:00

The release of one of the most eagerly anticipated TV reunions ever has sent fans around the world into a frenzy.

The hugely popular US sitcom Friends followed a group of New Yorkers in their twenties and thirties, and it concluded in 2004 after 10 seasons. After years of rumors and anticipation, the Friends reunion became a reality when the cast gathered for a special on HBO Max, following the iconic sitcom’s 25th anniversary. The main cast revisited the set, had surprises and shared behind-the-scenes footage; however, they appeared as themselves and they didn’t portray their original beloved characters.

The Friends reunion finally revealed the truth about actors David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston who played Ross and Rachel. Their romantic chemistry wasn’t just for the cameras, and their mutual crushes that lasted for the first two years of the show. However, they never got together because they were already both in relationships.

Difficult words: frenzy (great excitement), chemistry (a strong attraction or sympathy between two people), crush (a feeling of romantic love for someone).
