Good news – level 2
18-04-2025 15:00
Most news shows sad or scary things. Good news can make people feel better. Here are some examples of happy and hopeful stories.
An elephant got a new vaccine to stop a deadly illness. Narwhals are no longer in danger, and some birds are learning to fly their old paths again with the help of small planes.
A man in China saved hundreds of people from jumping off a bridge. Another man with cancer ran many marathons to raise money. A woman gave her kidney to a stranger who she met while hiking. Indonesia is giving out free lunches to millions of children. India now helps older people pay for their medical care. And four medical schools in the US got money to help students.
These stories show that good things are still happening.
Difficult words: path (a track between one place and another), marathon (a very long running race).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
Which examples highlight efforts to protect wildlife, support communities, and promote kindness, and what overall message do they convey?
