Help for Gaza – level 2

01-08-2025 07:00

People in Gaza say the food and help they are getting are not enough. On Sunday, Israel and other countries dropped food and sent trucks into Gaza, but many families got nothing.

Israel now allows 10 hours each day for aid to enter, but the UN says this is not helping enough. People are afraid to go outside because food boxes fall from the sky and can hurt people. Many live in tents with no food or water. They also say there is still bombing, so they don’t feel safe.

Israel says Hamas takes the food, but Hamas says that is not true. Some children are very thin and hungry. The UN says it has food ready, but many people still have nothing to eat. Life in Gaza is very hard, and people are asking for more help.

Difficult words: aid (help or support), tent (small cloth shelter for living), thin (very slim).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

Why are many Gaza residents too afraid to go outside when aid is being delivered?
