Hostage situation in Germany – level 1

27-06-2016 15:00

This happens near Frankfurt. Frankfurt is in Germany.

A man comes to a cinema. He has a gun and a mask. He takes hostages.

Police come to the cinema. They shoot the man. He dies.

We do not know his name. We do not know his motive. The other people are fine.

Difficult words: mask (something which covers your face), hostage (a hostage is a person who cannot leave a building because of another person), motive (why you do something).

You can read the original story and watch the video in the Level 3 section.
