How Donald Trump makes money – level 3
03-07-2026 07:00
US President Donald Trump reported over 1.4 billion dollars in income from his family’s cryptocurrency ventures in 2025, according to his latest financial disclosure.
Digital assets now provide the majority of his income, as he benefits heavily from his administration’s crypto-friendly policies.
Trump’s company received nearly 800 million from a project co-founded with his sons. This total includes 520 million dollars from token sales and 250 million from selling business interests. Additionally, sales of the Trump memecoin generated 635 million, and marked a massive increase from the 57 million reported the previous year. Since his 2025 inauguration, the Trump family has earned an estimated 2.3 billion from digital currencies.
While a White House spokesperson denied any conflicts of interest, Trump’s traditional businesses also thrived. His golf courses and resorts brought in over 500 million, and showed the strongest growth at clubs where the president spends significant time.
Difficult words: venture (a new business activity, project, or plan that involves taking risks to make money), disclosure (an official document or statement that makes new or secret financial information public), token (a unit of digital currency used on a specific crypto platform or project).
