Western countries must work together because China and Russia are getting very strong. Leaders want to use three new groups to keep the world safe.

The first group helps sea countries like America and Japan control important water paths in the ocean. The second group helps countries in Asia and the Middle East build big roads for business and trade. Many governments are making long-term plans to stay safe.

Also, the United States changes the name of its army group in the Pacific. They see that India has very big mountains on the border, so China cannot build railways there. This means that India is not part of China’s main plans.

Difficult words: path (a track or way), long-term (planned for a long time, not just for a few days), border (the official line on a map between two countries).
