Human Towers in Spain – level 1

06-10-2016 15:00

This news is from Spain. An event is held there every two years. It is a sporting event. It is the Human Towers Competition.

This year’s event is the 26th. The sport is a Spanish tradition. It is more than 216 years old.

There are many teams at the competition. They build towers. They must be careful. This can be dangerous.

Children go to the top of the towers. Thousands of people watch the teams.

Difficult words: be held (happen, be organised), competition (a sporting event; when people try their best to win).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
