Human Towers in Spain – level 2

06-10-2016 15:00

Every two years, the Human Towers Competition happens in Spain. Thousands of people attended this year’s 26th event. The sport is a Spanish tradition. It dates back to the 18th century.

This year, there were many teams. Each group carefully built a tower, and children climbed up to the top. This year’s event was won by a team from southern Spain.

Difficult words: competition (a sporting event; when people try their best to win), attend (to be somewhere), date back to (to have its origin), climb (go).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
