Kamikaze drones – level 2

On Monday, Russia attacked several Ukrainian cities with drones. The attack happened during morning rush hour when many people and cars were in the streets.
Videos showed drones as they flew towards the capital city of Kyiv. People heard gunshots as police tried to stop the drones. The drones were so-called kamikaze drones.
The kamikaze drones carried bombs which exploded when they hit buildings. The explosions set many buildings on fire and killed at least 10 civilians. Some reports said that the bombs came from Iran.
One week before this attack, Russian rockets hit many Ukrainian cities. They destroyed important buildings, bridges, and public places, too.
Difficult words: drone (a small flying device which people control from the ground), gunshot (the attack of a gun), civilian (a person who is not a police officer or a soldier).
