Levi’s wants to sell more Blue Tab jeans – level 3
17-11-2025 15:00
Levi’s plans to sell its 300-dollar Blue Tab jeans in more stores next year to meet the rising demand for premium denim.
The line, launched earlier in Asia and in select stores in Europe and the US, features heavier Japanese selvedge denim, which is more durable and has self-finished edges.
Compared to Levi’s traditional Red Tab jeans, which top out at 130 euros, Blue Tab cost up to 350 euros and jackets around 700 euros. While premium denim represents only about 10% of the 100-billion-dollar global denim market, it grows faster than standard jeans. Levi’s aims to attract more women and diversify its product range, including collaborations with brands like Nike and Barbour. Despite past challenges like inflation and US tariffs, the company expects a strong holiday season and plans to offer limited discounts. Levi’s may also acquire additional brands to accelerate growth, adding to its existing Beyond Yoga brand.
Difficult words: premium (of high quality), selvedge (self-finished edge of cloth), acquire (to get or obtain something, often by buying or receiving it).
