Living with ADHD – level 2
26-05-2025 15:00
Henry works as a tour guide in London and has ADHD, a condition that makes daily life more difficult for him.
He often forgets things like meetings or keys and struggles to do simple tasks. Henry compares his brain to a tombola game where many random balls come out. These balls sometimes help, but often confuse him. This makes him feel upset and sometimes shy.
Even so, Henry says he doesn’t want to change because this is who he is. His family loves and supports him, and they know how much ADHD affects his emotions. Henry hopes his story helps others understand ADHD better.
Difficult words: condition (a medical state or illness which affects how your body or mind works), struggle (to have a hard time doing something), confuse (to make someone unable to think clearly or understand something).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What comparison does Henry make to explain how random thoughts emerge in his mind, and how do these thoughts often affect him emotionally?
