Marilia Mendonça, a Brazilian singer, died in a plane crash last weekend. Three other people died, too.

Mendonça was traveling to her concert in Caratinga, a small city north of Rio de Janeiro. The plane crashed in a mountainous area 11 kilometers from Caratinga. At first, the media said that the singer survived the crash, but later they knew that she died.

The singer was 26 years old, and she had a two-year-old son. She was very popular in Brazil, as she was the most listened to artist in Brazil on the app Spotify. During the pandemic, she had a series of online concerts, and one of them set the record of the most-watched live event on YouTube.
