Michael Jackson Documentary – level 2

15-03-2019 15:00

In the UK, a new documentary came out about singer Michael Jackson. Two men in the documentary say that Jackson sexually abused them when they were children.

In London, Jackson fans protested, and celebrities protested the documentary online. Jackson’s nephew said that the documentary leaves out information. It does not say that these men sued Jackson’s estate for millions of dollars in 2016, which they did not win.

If the documentary does well, it can help appeal the lawsuit, which means that they can win a lot of money.

Difficult words: abuse (do something bad and illegal to another person), estate (all the money and property that someone has or had), appeal (try to do something again to get what you want).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
