Mother Whale Helps Baby – Level 1

26-10-2016 15:00

In Australia, a mother and baby whale are swimming. Suddenly, the baby whale gets stuck. Its tail is tangled in a shark net. It cannot move. The mother whale props it up out of the water.

People come to help. The mother whale stays with her baby. The people cut the baby free from the net. The mother and baby whale swim away.
People are not happy about this. They do not like it when other people use shark nets. They say that shark nets catch too many animals. These animals die because they cannot get out of the nets.

Difficult words: tangle (catch), shark net (a thing for catching sharks), prop (hold up).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
