The ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ stories are around 73 years old. There is also a TV show about the stories.

This year, there will be a new show. It will have a new theme song. It will have characters from around the world. The stories will be around the world and in Sodor. It will also have the first woman leader of the trains.
People start to make new toys for the show. They are very popular!

Difficult words: tank engine (a train engine that has a big container to hold oil or water so it can run), will (the future tense of ‘to be’), Sodor (a made-up place for the ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ stories).
