New Thomas the Tank Engine – level 3

The children’s’ show ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ has some big changes this year. Ian McCure, supervising producer, said that the stories have been around for 73 years.
To launch the new series, there will be a new theme song, international characters and stories set around the world and in Sodor.
There will also be the original characters, new characters, and the first female controller of the locomotives. Production of new toys also started, and people sell one around the world every minute!
Difficult words: Sodor (an imaginary place in the ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ stories), controller (the person who tells the trains where to go), locomotive (a powered rail vehicle that pulls trains).
