People live in a 3D-printed house – level 1

07-05-2021 15:00

Builders build five 3D-printed homes in Eidhoven, Netherlands. People start to live in one of the homes. They are the first official tenants of a 3D home in Europe. The house looks like a boulder. A boulder is a large smooth rock.

Only a 3D printer can make it. The 3D printer has a special end. This end can make any shape. It is a better way of building. It does not use so much material. It costs less money. It is better for the natural world.

The first tenants are happy in their new home. They say that they feel safe there.

Difficult words: 3D (something what has two sides, the up and down part and the front and back), tenant (a person who lives in a house or flat or apartment which belongs to somebody else), shape (the way how something looks).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
