Pig heads in Paris – level 2

22-09-2025 15:00

In Paris, people found nine pig heads outside mosques. This made many people worry about attacks against Muslims.

Police discovered that two men from another country put the pig heads there. They bought the pigs from a farmer in Normandy and drove to Paris to leave them outside mosques and nearby towns. One pig had the name of President Macron written on it. The men left France and went to Belgium. Police started an investigation into causing trouble and making people hate others, which are serious crimes. Some past attacks in France, like painting on Jewish sites, were probably connected to Russia. The government wants to stop these actions and protect people from hate and unrest.

Difficult words: mosque (a place where Muslims talk to their god), investigation (when the police check what happened), unrest (a situation with trouble and fighting between people).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

Which country did the two men go to after leaving France?
