Poland’s economy is doing well – level 2
24-11-2025 07:00
Poland is now the 20th biggest economy in the world, and it grows quickly. Low unemployment and a clear tax system make the country attractive for people who start businesses, especially Ukrainians.
Poland has successfully moved from a communist to a market-based society in one generation. Ukrainian people help Poland’s economy grow a lot, and they now make up about 2.7% of its wealth. It is easy for Ukrainian founders to open a company in Poland, and the government process is simple and electronic.
Finding money to start a business can be difficult. Ukrainian businesspeople move their companies to Poland to continue their work. They feel the mentality and language are close to their own. These businesses expand in many areas, from technology to restaurants, and their role is very important for Poland’s continuing economic growth.
Difficult words: unemployment (not having a job), market-based (a system for a country to make and sell things where companies and people decide what to sell and for how much money), mentality (a person’s way of thinking).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What percentage of Poland’s wealth is now contributed by Ukrainian people?
