Real Lightsabre Fights – level 1

A lot of people know the Star Wars films. They are science fiction films. Many things in these films do not exist. Lightsabres are a type of sabres in the films.

People make fake lightsabres for real life. They glow with light. Some make sounds and light effects. When two people fight, they call it a duel.

Duelling with lightsabres becomes a sport in France. People can hit the opponent in a few areas. They can hit the head. They can hit the arms. They can hit the legs. Or they can hit the hand.

If you hit your opponent, you get points. When you get 15 points, you win.

Difficult words: sabre (=sword, a type of a weapon which is like a big long knife), glow (give out light), opponent (the person which you fight).
