Scary Clowns – level 2

14-10-2016 15:00

People in the USA, UK and Australia are dressing up as creepy clowns and they are scaring people. It is part of the “creepy clown” craze.

Police arrested a student at a university because he was running around with a real chainsaw. He said that it was just “fun”, but some people do not like this. They think that clowns should be funny, not scary. Something could go wrong and someone could get really scared.

The craze started in the USA but it is becoming popular around the world. Police in the UK are asking people not to get involved.

Difficult words: creepy (scary, shocking), craze (a mania, a trend), get involved (if you get involved, you start doing something).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
