Sexiest man alive – level 3
07-11-2025 15:00
English actor Jonathan Bailey, known for his roles in Bridgerton and the upcoming film Wicked: For Good, has been named People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2025.
Bailey, 37, said it was a huge honor to receive the title, which has previously gone to stars like Chris Hemsworth and George Clooney. He is also believed to be the first openly gay man to receive the recognition. People magazine explained that the award is not based only on looks but also on personality, talent, and influence.
Bailey appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to celebrate and posed with his dog Benson for the magazine’s cover. The humorous article also mentioned that last year’s winner, John Krasinski, has now lost the title, and that the magazine doesn’t pay or charge the winner. The Sexiest Man Alive is mostly a fun cultural tradition celebrating charm and popularity.
Difficult words: honor (special respect or award), recognition (public praise for achievement), charm (a special quality that makes someone or something pleasant and attractive).
