Singing to Elephants – level 2

11-10-2018 15:00

The Elephant Nature Park in Thailand covers 280 acres and is home to more than 70 elephants. Many of the elephants at the sanctuary are rescue animals who suffered abuse.

Six years ago, a person sung to sleep a difficult baby elephant with success. Since then, people use songs to calm down the elephants and help them to get to sleep.

Difficult words: sanctuary (a place where people take care of animals), abuse (hurtful behaviour), since then (from that time, now, and in the future).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
