Special Christmas tree in Canberra – level 2

03-12-2015 15:00

It is not Christmas just yet, but Australia has something to celebrate already. The country broke the Guinness World Record for the most lights on an artificial Christmas tree.

In Canberra, there are 518,838 lights on the 22-metre tree. Hundreds of people came for the confirmation of the world record.

People volunteered to help with the Christmas tree.

Difficult words: artificial (not natural), confirmation (when somebody confirms something – says that something is true), volunteer (to do something without getting money for it).

You can read the original story and watch the video in the Level 3 section.

When do you put up your Christmas tree?
