Studying Mars – level 1

06-12-2018 07:00

NASA sends a probe to Mars. It travels 480 million kilometres. The journey takes six months. It travels at 19,000 kilometres per hour. The probe lands safely. After the landing, it sends people a selfie.

The probe is the first probe to drill into the ground of Mars. It goes five metres below the ground. It measures the temperature. It measures earthquakes, too.

Difficult words: probe (a machine which people send to space), journey (way), drill (make a hole, make a space in the ground).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
