Sudan Prime Minister Attacked – level 2

16-03-2020 15:00

The Prime Minister of Sudan, Abdalla Hamdok, traveled to his office in the capital city, Khartoum. Somebody attacked his convoy and injured one security officer.

Officials are investigating the attack; however, they do not know who did it. Hamdok wrote on social media that he is well and healthy. He wants to continue changing the politics in Sudan.

In April 2019, Sudan’s president left his job. He was in power for 20 years, and he faces many criminal charges. Currently, the country is going through political transformation, which brings many conflicts.

Difficult words: convoy (a group of cars that travel together because it is safer), criminal charge (when officials say that a person did something wrong), transformation (a big change).
