Eurovision is a big singing contest. Singers from European countries compete. This year, Switzerland wins.
Nemo is the winner. This singer is nonbinary. The singer does not say if they are a boy or a girl. They with their song ‘The Code’. Nemo is proud. They are the first nonbinary winner ever. Nemo says that people like them must be in the contest. A journalist from the Netherlands says that Switzerland deserves to win.
People were protesting against Israel’s army in Gaza during the contest. People are also upset because a singer from the Netherlands must leave the contest before it ends.
Difficult words: contest (an event in which people compete with each other), proud (pleased), deserve (to get something because of good work).
