Terror Attack in Egypt – level 2

27-11-2017 07:00

On Friday, Islamic extremists attacked a mosque in Egypt. More than 235 people died from explosives or from the shooting. This is Egypt’s deadliest terror attack. It took place in the northern Sinai region.

Egyptian president El-Sissi condemned the attack on television and Donald Trump condemned it also on Twitter. Tel Aviv’s City Hall lit up with the Egyptian flag to show solidarity.

Difficult words: mosque (a building where Muslims pray to God), condemn (criticise something; say that it is wrong or evil), solidarity (when people show that they are with other people after something happens).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
