Terrorist Award – level 1

06-06-2017 07:00

In Houston, USA, teachers give a 13-year-old a certificate. It reads ‘terrorist award’. The student gets the certificate after the terrorist attack in Manchester.

The student and her mother are very upset. The student says that terrorists do very bad things. She says that her teachers should not joke about this.

Her mother says that her teachers should think about how her daughter feels. They should think about how she feels when she grows up.

The school disciplines the teachers. It does not say what the discipline is.

Difficult words: certificate (a piece of paper that says that you are good at something) discipline verb (show someone that he or she did something wrong), discipline noun (what you do to show someone that he or she did something wrong).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
