The golden ratio – level 1

The golden ratio is a number. This number is in art, in some flowers, and in buildings. Leonardo Fibonacci finds it in old math.
The shape is called the golden rectangle. Some people say it looks nice. Gustav Fechner says that many people like it most. But this is not true. You can see this number in sunflower seeds. Some things in nature have it. But many things do not.
Some people look at faces with this number. They say it shows who is pretty. They use phone apps or pictures. But this is not right. This number does not show who looks good. Every face is good in a different way.
Difficult words: shape (the outline of something), rectangle (a shape with four sides and four corners), face (the front part of your head).
